The man in the red shirt

edit: I added I Won Something

    red.jpg

I got up today and started taking pictures of all the stuff in my home I wanted to sell. It took quite a long time, especially since I had to make a long list of things. I then started pack whatever stuff I wasn’t going to use for a while like winter clothes and university books. I filled up two large suit cases.

Later on, I dropped everything off at Hussain’s home. Hussain was leaving tomorrow to Canada for two weeks and I had to do everything quickly. Omar told me that he was going to come over since a group of us were going to eat some dinner. I said alright. I was supposed to use Hussain’s home but since he’s leaving I’m a bit stuck.. Strange how so many friends aren’t there for me when I need them most, but I always manage somehow I guess.

After putting everything in the car, I picked up Hussain’s girlfriend and Omar. We headed over to Hussain’s home, dropped off the stuff, I drank a RedBull, and we drove to town.

We all agreed to eat at Nandos because that was the safest thing that we had all agreed on. I had just eaten Thai food yesterday.
As we entered we all had a seat at a very crap table. We wanted to sit at another one but people were on it. We had to wait for Omar 2 (another omar) and Mustafa to arrive so we decided not to order anything and hope those people leave before they arrive.

Luckily, the people left. Omar got up and asked one of the staff if we could change tables, the person said yes.

A man with a red shirt came up and said we couldn’t sit there. Omar explained that the other waiter said it was fine, but the man refused to allow us. He kept saying, who? show me! No he didn’t.

I should mention that the man with the red shirt works in Nandos and has always been an asshole. It’s sad because I like their food, but he’s making me never want to go back again.

Anyway, Omar showed him who the man was that said we could sit. The man with the red shirt said “ok but you must leave in 1 hour because the table is booked”. What?? It’s like saying that McDonalds lets you book tables. Why was he acting this way? He wanted us to just all pay, eat fast and leave?

To make a long story short, I got really angry and said “No! I’m not leaving in 1 hour, I’m leaving now!”. And we all left.

I ended up eating at KFC… Sad.. but who cares. After eating I dropped Hussain at the station and dropped off Omar and Selin. I arrived home and started to tidy up the home and update the website.

The good news was I made £90 today from Fluid Mobile www.fluidmobile.com or www.widgx.net!! Great news from one side.

    Need to sleep now!

    I Won Something!
    Tuesday May 29th 2007, 11:06 pm

It was early in the morning and I was tired from being woken up all the time from phone calls. I finally closed my eyes and RIiiIIiiIIiiIiiIG. I got another phone call. THe person said “Hello! I just wanted to let you know that you have won a prize!”.

I started to think for a moment. {Uh Oh.. It’s another one of those advert calls}.
The man continued. He said “Your friend Reena came to our studio to take some photographs and she entered you and others in a competition. You won!”.

I asked him to call me back in 1 hour. I quickly asked Reena, “Is it true?”. She said “Yeah I wrote your name on a form”. I was greatfull for that because I always wanted to take some professional photographs. The guy called me back and explained that I had won a VIP session!
It included hairstyling, makeup, VIP lounge, and a massage! I’d then get to take some professional photos!

Anyway, I’m so excited so I quickly shared it with the girl I care about most :D

    My Phone and the River
    Saturday May 26th 2007, 8:00 pm

I got up today and felt really tired. It must have been because of all that driving! I decided I needed to go to town to sort out some things. I made a few quick calls and then headed off to town with my friend. While parking, I gave Hussain a call, who just so happened to be at there. I met up with him and Mustafa. We chatted a bit. Hussain showed me a book he wanted to buy. It was for a driving test to get a British license. (he has a Bahraini one and wanted an British one).

Hussain: “I’m gonna fail man. Da test is too difficult bro”
Kei: “Don’t worry man it’s going to be fine. It’s easy!’
Hussain: “Oh yea? Look at this? What the hell is this?! Did you ever see a road with a straight line down the middle and dots around it? What the hell does that mean?”
Kei: “Uh…” (in my mind I was thinking, oh man that’s difficult) “You don’t need a British license anyway!”

I then went to Nando’s to get something to eat. I really like their chips. Maybe I eat too much though :(
I was gonna watch a movie in the cinema, but I decided not to in the end.

Hmm I was still quite angry at my mobile company for charging me 300 pounds two weeks ago and not explaining to me why.

They never give me a proper reason except “you must have spent 300 pounds sir”. I was also angry because I was missing so much money because of that DAMN fraud thing. So I went into Vodafone and spoke to the staff there. They’re all great there, especially Mr. Voda. I wanted to get a replacement so I did exactly what Mr. Voda told me to do last week. At the same time, I decided to get a new sim card for free because it would have more memory.

    I stepped in, smiled.

Voda: “How can I help you?”
Kei: “I lost my phone… oh and my sim card”
Voda: “Ok I’ll sort it for you. Did you lose it seperately?”
Kei: *Thinks* “No, the sim card was in the phone”
Voda: “How did you lose it.”
Kei: “I… dropped it in the river”
Voda: “Oh ok! Here’s your new phone and sim card.”

This way, new phone, new sim card easy. I thought the company was going to give me hassle, but they didn’t. Thanks to Mr. Voda for his advice.

    Nice day so far!

Tomorrow the plan is either Norwhich or Lakeside. Haven’t decided yet but I need to fast.

To Vanessa, Omar, Mustafa, Hussain and the rest. ‘STUDY HARD!’

    My Phone and the Forest
    Saturday May 26th 2007, 7:37 pm

You know. I Like my phone alot. It’s the N95. 5 Megapixels, DVD video, Wireless internet, 3g, and satellite navigation. Sounds great right?
Well it’s a good phone except the satellite navigation function pisses me off! Let me give you an example, if someone calls me while I’m using it, it closes the program and I have to start the program all over again. Did I mention that it takes 5-10 minutes for the navigation to find any satellites???

Ok now lets talk about yesterday. I had to drive through London yesterday so I decided to trust my navigation. I put in the post code and it started telling me where to go. Sounds good so far. Half way on the way, I get a text message. So what happens? The navigation restarts. So I slow down to give it a chance to connect to the satellite again. Ok it’s connected. I speed up again. This time the navigation says “Turn left” but on the screen it shows RIGHT! So I’m on the main road and I have to think. Ok which should I trust? Left or right? So I trust the voice. I turn left. Am I right? This is Kei’s blog! It wouldn’t be funny if I was right! So it added 20 more kilometers to my journey!

Why 20km right? Why didn’t I turn around. Well my little babies, I’ll tell you why. The person who designed the roads in England is an idiot. It’s simple. He’s so stupid that he can’t design a small turning so people who make a mistake can turn back. No wait! Maybe he’s an asshole! He did it on purpose to annoy all the drivers! Yeah thats it!!

Ok, so I finally decide, Ok lets drive faster. This time I turn right instead of left. This time Right is right. After finally reaching my destination, I relax for a few moments. Then I look around. Wait a minute… these are houses… it’s supposed to be a station… what the hell? The navigation took me to the wrong place! I was just about to throw my phone out the window when I saw some people walk by. I opened my window and asked for help. A german woman told me where to go. I swear, I wish I could have a small tiny German woman in my car instead of this crap satellite navigation!

I arrived at the right place, hope on board and now have to drive back. Ok, going back to colchester shouldn’t be difficult for the navigation right? Wrong! It took me through central London, over Tower bridge! I’m on the bridge! I look at my naviation and it shows me as driving on the sea. Great. So I decide. Ok… I followed it this far. I might as well continue. This time it takes me to the docklands. I remember going through there once so I trust it. BUT the road was closed to be fixed. So where do I go? After 1 and a half hours of driving around, I finally get to the main road. I decided that the navigation was stupid and I wasn’t going to follow it anymore. I see a sign in front of me that says “Colchester”. Yes! I’m going back! I just need to go straight and I’ll be in Colchester!

“TURN LEFT!” the navigation says. “What???? Why left?” I look left and see that it’s trying to take me into a forest. What the hell! Straight is Colchester. Left is forest. I TOLD the navigation I want to go to Colchester not Forest! I ignored it and trusted myself. I don’t know why but this phone wants to take you into villages and forests instead of the main road. Lesson? Use the N95 if you HAVE to in emergency only. Otherwise, buy a map. It’s cheaper.

    wtfn95.gif

Oh I forgot. It should have taken me 2 hours to get there but I ended up taking almost 7 hours to go and come!

    Another explosion

Here’s another explosion for me. Saleh is in Dubai! What the hell? He said he was going to finish Uni on the 21st and then travel on the 28th… So he was going to meet me before then to give me the key for the apartment. Problem is he left on the 21st and didn’t tell anyone!
I can’t believe this… I was really relying and trusting Saleh to make sure he was going to help me when I had to move because I sold my apartment…
All I can say is I’m shocked and I hope that he’s going to send the key over… or if worst comes to worst, I’ll just travel to Dubai to pick the key up and come back.

I’m really starting to hate England with all my heart.
It’s a country which sucks your money. It’s a country where it is so difficult to make profit. It’s a country where even if you start a business, the government just finds a way to make you lose.

I just discovered someone has been using my details fraudulently. The person ordered flight tickets from Ryanair. It’s my fault for using my card so much I guess. Now I’m really disappointed because my vacation was supposed to have just started and I’m now missing alot of money.

I called Ryanair who told me the person used the name Madam Elisabeth Dos Santos. Who the hell is that?! She (or He) ordered the air vouchers and they said that if I wanted to get my money back I had to contact the main office. Problem is, they only gave me a fax number. But at least they gave me the voucher numbers. So what I’m going to do is get them cancelled and if they’ve been used already, that’s GREAT because they’ll get that person’s personal information and I’ll call the police straight away.

I also called my bank and changed all of my details. I want to cry now… why did this happen….

    I’m a happy person
    Wednesday May 23rd 2007, 4:22 pm

I have to admit, I’m a happy person. I think I’m relaxed. I look at the positive side of most things. Sometimes it gets to be too much though. People expect happy Kei all the time which is a bit of a pressure, but I don’t mind it. I’d rather be a happy person that a sad one.

I’ve finally finished almost all of my work! It’s exciting for me because that means I’m almost finished as a student.
I’ve been having to do alot of thinking for my future. I think I’m organized at the moment. I’m making a list of all the things in my home I don’t need that I can just sell and also a list of all the things I’m going to move to Saleh’s flat. On one side, I’m feeling a bit sad, because I love my apartment, on the other side, I’m happy, because it’s like a new fresh start for me.

So far my new start is going well! I want to list the things that have been happening for me. Sold my old apartment. Finished University. Sold some stuff. Had some great weeks. There has been some confusion inside as well. I’m thinking so very carefully about the future. Should I go to America and try to be an actor? Is it worth it? Should I stay in England and work for Sony at least for a year so I can be closer with the person I’m in love with and she can continue her studies? Should I just go to Qatar and start my own business, build some homes to rent, and work as a Legal Advisor? Should I go to Shanghai or Tokyo and see if I can open a cafe or chill spot? I don’t know at the moment. I don’t really want to think about it right now. I know I should, but I just want to take each moment as it comes. I know one thing though. Whatever I decide, I have to make sure that it will make her happy.

At the moment my sleep cycle is messed up. I’m trying to sleep properly but I can’t. It’s because these past few days I’ve been focusing on my essays and coursework. I’m sorry to anyone that I haven’t been able to speak to alot. I don’t mean to ignore, it’s just that I have to focus.

    passed_out_corgi.jpg

I should meet Saleh soon to have a nice chat and pick up the key. Hopefully this weekend we’ll do something good. I was also planning to meet his cousin and Shingo too.

The weather hasn’t been great, but it hasn’t been bad either. It’s funny, because the day I wanted to hand in my assignment, the sky was blue and I had to drive to the University as fast as possible before 3pm to hand it in. All of a sudden, there were grey clouds, it started to rain heavily, there were slow trucks in front of me, heavy traffic. It seemed that God didn’t want me to reach University on time. I didn’t care! I was going to make it no matter what!
I was driving left and right through traffic until I finally reached near the uni. As expected the carpark was full! DAMN IT! So I just parked on the road and said “hey if police give me a parking ticket I don’t care, I’ll be too happy that I handed it in anyway”. I got my papers and RAN to the the university department. I reached the office, the time was 2:58.
I made it…. just in time…. Bai Chi Baka weather.

What’s up for now? Hmm I’m going to tidy my home, continue my list of things to sell and think about what to eat. Common weekend! Come faster!

    Happy endings
    Friday May 11th 2007, 9:35 pm

I tried to sleep today. It was a bit difficult in the morning because I kept waking up because of the doorbell.

First time it was a guy. He said “Can I have the key to the main door downstairs to copy? I am an agent for the house upstairs and I don’t have the key”. First I was shocked. “What?… Sorry but I can’t do that”. After he proved he was an agent for the place I said “OK, you can copy it”.
I gave him the key then went to bed. As I was laying down I thought. “Hmm… I wonder how many people are stupid enough to give a key to be copied and don’t make sure if someone is telling the truth.”

As my eyes closed the door bell rang again. This time it was the postman. He delivered another Prada phone. This time Omar wanted it for his mother. It’s funny because I’ve had a total of 4 Pradas ordered now. 2 of them were for my mother and sister. It’s a very nice phone which girls seem to like.

I went back to bed and again the door bell rang. This time it was the agent again. He returned my key and gave me a chocolate. I was a bit suprised. I said thanks. Just before I closed the door he said here is another gift. It was a special discount of 120 pounds for an agent fee if someone wanted to rent a house. It was usefull because I was searching for a place for Shawna (David’s girlfriend). Sadly though, David didn’t let me know that Shawna already found a place. I wish I knew before so I didn’t have to search.

Later on in the day I went to Tesco to do some shopping. I bought the basics and walked around. I was feeling happy. I was in a good mood. Tomorrow I’m going to Cambridge and I told my friend LinLin I’d meet him.

When I got home I put the stuff in the fridge and was planning to clean the home. As I sat down for a second I got a phone call from Omar. He said that today was the picture day for the Ju Jitsu class and it’s one of the last.
I forgot!! So I got ready and left.

We took some pictures, played around and then I realized that it was going to be my last day with them and that I was going to miss them all. I’ll add some pictures later to show the group. I wasn’t able to go to classes as much as before especially because I had to really focus on other things. Mainly my studies.

Alright. TIme to clean the house!

On a side note, ‘where the hell is Saleh?’.
    He’s disappeared.

    Diabetes Omar
    Wednesday May 09th 2007, 8:53 pm

I woke up at around 9 o’clock today. I was sleeping abit late and being a bit lazy these days.
As I’m told, I can do that because I’m been doing so much these days.
I rolled out of bed at 9:30, got dressed and waited for Omar and his friend to come over. We were supposed to go to town for to do some odd jobs.

I passed by Game station to return a game and to make some replacements. After finishing, we went to Argos. Omar wanted to buy a shaver. Everything is fine right? Wrong.

As we went outside to wait for Omar’s friend to get out of the toilet, I noticed he was speaking a bit strange. I realized that baka omar didn’t eat. When he doesn’t eat, he starts to become slow, he can faint, and he can go into shock and die because of his diabetes.

The first thing I thought was “Omar… you are such an idiot… 24 years old and you still don’t take care of your health”.The second thing I thought was “Let’s get him some food.”

It’s funny because even Omar didn’t know he was acting strange. We passed by a few shops but Omar didn’t want to eat. I was ready to just grab him, throw him down, and shove the food in his mouth. He was being too stubborn not to eat! Finally we passed by McDonalds and Omar agreed to go in. I didn’t want McDonalds :( but there was no choice. We went in, tried to get him to eat and he did, but very slowly. For a moment he was paralyzed and couldn’t move, but since he drank some coke, the sugar got into his blood and he was getting better. It annoyed me a bit because I didn’t want to have to take care for so many hours. I wanted to have a nice day out. Oh well… what are friends for I guess.

We then passed by a place called Ace. Looked around, bought a magazine and then left. Now it was time for some serious stuff. We each went to our own banks and did what we needed to do.

After completing we passed by Vodafone and met Matt. We chatted for a while. Talked about the latest mobiles. I realized that the whole store new me. They call me Kai not Kei. It’s ok. Kai means verve in Chinese and that’s nice.

When I got home I started to make sure that I could find some Sharp 903s. I sent out some emails yesterday but there was no reply yet. David asked me to find one for Shawna so hopefully I’ll be able to find a brand new one (which is difficult since they stopped making the phone).

I worked on my presentation and then remembered ‘her’. Who is she? Her name is my secret at the moment.
Here’s a song which I played for her.

(just press play and wait even if you don’t hear anything, may take a while with slow connections)

I got a hug today. I was happy about that. It was such a great hug. A hug which felt like two peices of a puzzle fitting well together. I loved it.

But lets talk about some stupidity.

Today Omar sent me a message and said “Are we gonna eat at 5 or should I eat now?” I said “Ok we can eat together”.
He called me to let me know he sent me the message by mistake but either way his friend cancelled so asked me if I wanted to. I said “I’d let him know in 10 mins”. FInally I told him I’d finish around 4:30 so yeah. He said “ok I’m gonna study from 4 so talk to you later”.

A normal person understands that it means. “I’m studying at 4 so after then I’ll talk to you later and we can eat”. But NOoooOOOooOOO. Omar means “I’m studying at 4 so I’m going to eat now and I’ll talk to you later”.

What the hell is on his mind sometimes? *sighs* Just as he’s starting to act smart… he does something stupid.

As for David, he said he might want to eat with me too. So I called him at 4:20 and he said he was on the way to London.

… London…. It would have been nice if he told me so I could at least organize my plan. He said he already went to London… in my mind I wonder if … no it doesn’t matter. I don’t want to think negatively.

    When I got back to Colchester after dropping Anri at Stratford, I passed by McDonalds to get something to eat… I hate McDonalds.. It tastes good but it’s so bad for you… but I was hungry -__-;

    Just got up!
    Saturday May 05th 2007, 11:08 pm

Well it’s 3pm and I just got up. Yesterday was full of good and bad things. Seems the world was confused if it should be a good or bad day.
When I got up. I was happy. Made some calls, got ready and decided to head to Chelmsford to do some stuff and then do some shopping with Anri.
When I arrived at the station I called up David to ask him where he wanted to eat dinner and he told me that he had some bad news. He wasn’t going to watch Spiderman 3 at 8:30 with me. He had an issue. Obviously because of that it would make a chain reaction. Shawna wouldn’t go and Maggie wouldn’t go. It’s not a problem and hope he can fix his issue, but it was such a waste because I had already booked the tickets. I tried my best to call friends, I called almost 23, but they all either watched it the day before or were so busy studying for exams and didn’t want to lose their concentration.

Anyway, I arrived in Chelmsford and did my usual, passed by the university and then walked around. The weather was cold but it still felt good. It wasn’t too cloudy and there were some spots of sun. We were hungry, so we went by Burger King and ate something fast.

The stores were closing and it was starting to get late so we went back to Colchester. When I arrived back I went to Omar to give him my car because there wasn’t enough space to fit everyone in the car myself. We all headed to the cinema. We had the extra tickets in our hands and we all tried our best to get some more people but it was too late. We went in, sat down and watched.

In my opinion Spider man was great! I loved the movie. It was cool. Like 2 or 3 mini movies in one. I was happy to be able to watch it. Shh… I’m iceman ok?

I then had to fix some things at night. I’m sad that sometimes people have big mouths and just want to spread rumours, but at the end of the day I understood the reason. There are many reasons that the fault happend, one of my faults is that I was not clear enough.

I apologize for that… so just to be clear… I am not interested in anyone at the moment. My kindness is because I like to be friends. What I do is because I can do it not because of anything else. So at the moment I just want to be FRIENDS with the people I know. I don’t want anything more. I don’t want to mention any names either.

I went to bed very late because of stress. I didn’t understand. Why was I feeling this. So close to the end of the year. All I want is to pass and put this all behind me… maybe.. no nothing… I just want to sleep.
