So there was this guy named Shekki on Howardforums.com. He had an iPhone and I had an N95. After alot of discussion, we agreed to exchange phones. Everything seemed to go as planned. We were supposed to both send the phones the fastest method and both film the progress. He kept telling me he was worried and that he was scammed in the past and hoped I wasn’t a scammer.

So it’s time today for him to send it, however he didn’t film the process and he didn’t send it Global Express, he sent it regular express, which means I’ll have to wait over a week to receive it.

I’m really screwed because I have to move out of my apartment by Friday and that’s when I also plan on traveling to Doha.
I want to cry. I hope I can sort this out *sighs*.

So I was doing the usual. Updating websites, organizing my schedule and thinking, when I finally got hit by two amazingly good news.

1) My Store: iPhones are going for around 6000QR in Qatar and I can get hold of a ton, so I thought of a way of importing a ton to Qatar. So I called up my uncle and asked him what he thought. I was told that I needed to have my own business registered to import large quantities. My smile began to disappear, however it quickly changed when my uncle said “Don’t worry, we’ll open a business for you”. He explained that it didn’t have to be a real one. He then followed by saying “But wait, why don’t you really open a store? I’ll help you!”. I felt so happy! This was going to be my first store in Qatar! I was going to be able to sort everything out!

2) I’m going to be in a magazine. I know to some it’s not huge news, but it’s still something that I’m excited about. Once it’s published I’ll take a scan of it.

So things seem to be coming to a close at the moment. The documents for selling the apartment are coming through, and it seems all I need to do now is wait for the University to send me my papers.
I’ll send an email on Monday and ask them when they’ll be sending my papers. I don’t know why I need to ask so many times. I understand there are other students, but I just need a simple paper that’s stamped and says I’ve graduated…

My apartment is beginning to look empty. It’s not as beautiful as it used to look, but ah well.
I’m sleeping on three thick blankets as a mattress at the moment. My back hurts and I can’t wait to be in a real bed again.
Why is everything in England such as hassle?

I thought I’d write this all down so people can see how truely crap, the University of Essex is.
Before beginning, this is just ONE person’s experience. (However I’m sure if you ask others, you’ll see that they probably have the same hate for this University as others).

It might be hard to believe that ‘happy happy’ Kei could write such a blog post, but yes it’s true, there is something I hate.

The University of Essex is a money hungry university. Each year prices rise well above the rate of inflation and charges are added ontop of fees which are not understandable.

Let’s say you pay 8,000 pounds to study law. (Thats around what I had to pay). You expect to at least get PHOTOCOPIES for free! Nope. Not in Essex. You’ll have to PAY 20 pounds. Want to park your car at the university? You need a permit. Fair enough right? No! You have to pay extortionate amounts. Don’t want a permit? Then pay by the hour. How much? Off the top of my mind it’s around 2.50 for 2 hours.

So I met this person on a forum called Qatar Living. She is basically a talent agent. I sent over a few photos and a few samples of my acting skills. She said she was very interested and that there was something that need to be filmed for the Qatar Foundation.

I’m VERY VERY excited. If I could be in a commercial or even do something media related in Qatar it would be awesome!

I hope it’ll all work out! Could this be my chance?

So I decided I wanted to go to London to visit a friend. It was nice to leave colchester. I’ve been stuck in this house for quite some time! Waiting for the house documents to be finished and for the university to send me my transcript!

Everytime someone asks me when I’m leaving, I say “next week”. I really don’t know when I’m going.

I’ve had to pay a thousand million bills and make sure everything is organized. I’m working hard on www.iloveqatar.net people seem to be really appreciating the website. I’m glad from that point of view. When I go back to Qatar, I’ll start contacting some companies and ask them if they want to advertise on it.

Anyway, back to London. It was nice! The weather was quite good and I managed to go around until my feet were SOO tired.

There was also this Indian festival in Regent street which I didn’t expect.

While in McDonalds, this guy came up to me and said “Nice shirt”. I was wearing a shirt which said “I Heart Qatar”. I said thanks. He said “Are you from YouTube?” I said “yes”. It was cool to see that I was becoming known.
